Free improvisation workshop for everyone interested in improvised music.
Whatever your age or experience level, this is a great opportunity to discover new ways of hearing, making & thinking about music. It's also a great way to meet others making creative music.
Drawing on ideas from the workshops of John Stevens, Eddie Prevost, Cheltenham Improvisors Orchestra & Initiative Improviserte Musik (DE).
Please bring your instruments, noise makers, amplifiers & ideas - whatever you need/use to create sound. Arrival from 7 in order to set up etc, workshop begins at 7.30.
Please note, the fee is just to cover the room hire cost - this is free music. Advance booking or cash on arrival. Any additional funds will either be redistributed or used to fund future concerts for workshop participants.
This is a participatory event, not a concert. All ages (parents are welcome to wait in the room or enjoy the cafe upstairs). The workshop leader is DBS certified & cafe kino runs a safe spaces policy.
