A
gig
on Sunday 23rd July. The event starts at 13:00.
We are so sorry, but for reasons beyond our control, this event has had to be cancelled. The venue pulled out last minute, and as this is funded independently, we can not afford to try and find another venue in this short space of time. Apologies for any inconveniences.
We have another event lined up on August 20th, which is also part of the reframing our relationship with nature series. We are hoping that our shakuhachi player Robin Eve and ambient producer Soundwalks will still be able to showcase their special show on this date.
All orders will be refunded, or you are welcome to hold onto your ticket for the August 20th event. Please let us know by email which you'd prefer, at [email protected] if we don't hear back from you in the next week, you shall be automatically refunded.
We are so sorry for any inconveniences this has caused, and hope you join us at one of our events in the future!
Thank you,
The Sunhaze Team
Sunhaze Nature Series- VERY LIMITED CAPACITY
We are delighted to announce the launch of our summer nature series! This series aims to reframe the relationship between the human and natural realms.
The first part of the series shall look outside of the Western canon through exploring Japanese culture. This will invite us to think outside of Western discourse, which is often centred around humans being placed as hierarchal beings. We are all part of the same ecosystem, and there must be balance for life of all kinds to flourish. Sachin's gorgeous poster is inspired by the 19th century woodblock artist Hiroshige. Hiroshige's works often focused upon representing the grandeur of the natural world, aiming to illuminate the insignificance of individuals in the face of such remarkable natural landscapes. This moves away from our hierarchal, individualistic culture so prominent within Western discourse. It is vital to begin to acknowledge how we are enmeshed and interdependent with nature.
We are delighted to be hosting this event in the beautiful Japanese Garden Bristol. The garden is a tranquil and peaceful place that transports you away from busy city life. It is a stunning space which we are honoured to be able to host in!
