Join for a fun, friendly walk around Leigh Woods, Abbots Pool and Ashton Court - learning a bit about nature along the way.
This walk is for anyone wanting to get away from the city and spend the day among good company (and the mud!).
About the route:
This route plan leaves plenty of space for puddle jumping, nature facts, rests and den building.
Length: 8km
11 prompt. Meet at the Eastern side of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We will then head into Leigh Woods.
1. Picnic!
2. Head over to Abbot's Pool (and maybe have a paddle or search for tadpoles).
3. Walk up to Ashton Court and back to the Suspension Bridge.
4. Spontaneous pub may occur?!

ABOUT THE WALK LEADER
Max is a nature-lover supporting people to learn about their environment, he has a particular passion for plants. He has completed CPD certified Walks for Wellbeing Group Leader training.
ACCESSIBILITY:
- This route is on well trodden, but not concrete, paths and has some uneven ground.
- This walk is not accessible for wheelchair users. Please email if you would like to be notified about future wheelchair accessible events.
WHAT TO BRING:
- A picnic, and snacks
- Sturdy boots or wellies, ideally waterproof
- A water bottle and/or thermos.
- A mug for some warming tea.
- Warm layers and a waterproof (just in case!)
Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
