"Sell out warning! Mali blues master, electrifying the Saharan desert like his father before him. Vieux Farka Touré’s blistering guitar-funk-roots-rock fusion and wizened vocals are the sound of a star being born. Outstanding musical wonder to behold FFO: Tinariwen, Tamikrest, Ali Farka Touré, Oumou Sangare, Bombino."

Ear Trumpet & Earth Cruises Presents: Vieux Farka Toure, Standing Show at The Lantern, Bristol Beacon, Trenchyard St, BS15AR- 14+ (Under 18s to be accompanied by a responsible adult)
After dazzling sold-out crowds across the UK last year, the mighty Vieux Farka Touré is back — and he’s ready for a party.
A master of the guitar with an effortless, magnetic stage presence, Vieux carries forward the legacy of his father, desert blues pioneer Ali Farka Touré, while boldly forging a sound all his own.
Since the release of Ali — his acclaimed collaboration with US psych-rock superstars Khruangbin — Vieux’s star has soared, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting and electrifying forces in contemporary world music.
Blending the soul of traditional West African music with gritty blues riffs, psychedelic rock energy, and Latin grooves, Vieux’s live shows are a high-octane celebration — a wild, rhythmic journey that starts in Mali and moves the world.
