After Synapsefirer and DJ 3t13 tore down the venue last May, Realist Alive return to Cosies with more recruits from London's pool of avant-club unorthodoxy. Representing the Four of Wands collective, madame3swords delivers shifting low-end textures drawing from post-club, dubstep, acid and the continuum of UK bass music. DJ Dolphin Dive is the populist, expert in eurodance, UK bounce, makina and trance, working also under the alias MC Inside, where he's blended the confessional vulnerability of recent UK rap with the instrumentals of bassline and bounce. They're joined by Sucker Punch godfather M Eleven, a devotee of trance whose club nights in Cambridge and London form no small contribution to the UK's refound love for the genre. M Eleven brings an enclyopaedic knowledge of trap, hip-hop and trance to Portland Square, forming a trinity of DJs whose dedication to the entwinement of experimentalism and the dance shows up anytime each play.

The bill is rounded out by the ethereal ar-lein affiliate emrys, a DJ dexterous and dynamic from Wigan pier bounce through cloud rap and witch house, as well as Bath prodigy of oddball club music, lillie_cat, for a day 1 b2b with Realist co-founder tskali.

madame3swords - cofounder of Four of Wands, a DJ collective functioning also as radio station, events promotion and label, madame3swords's career has been interwoven with London's emergence as a hub of the deconstructed club avant-garde. 3swords has incorporated both post-club's subversive darkness and swerved its definition, demonstrating across appearances at Venue MOT and Printworks, from squats to DSM, an individual sound interpolating acid, breaks and the continuum of UK bass music.

DJ Dolphin Dive / MC Inside - If 3swords lends Four of Wands its tinge of industrial, subsurface darkness, DJ Dolphin Dive plays its ebullient angel. An aficianado of all things hard dance, a Dolphin Dive mix might incorporate anything from gabber to sextrance, UK bounce to hardcore. Like his co-founder, such categorisations don't do justice to the breadth of his library... if anything is guaranteed it's that Dolphin Dive can about draw upon about any music available online. April 10 also finds Dolphin Dive performing under the guise of MC Inside, his moniker as vocalist. Under this name, he has uniquely blended UK rap's recent trajectory of entwined, minimalist vulnerability and bragadocio with the instrumental stylings of bassline, garage and bounce. Trancendance is one of the more remarkable, underheard tracks of the UK underground's renascence. April 10 is a chance to catch this original talent twofold.

M Eleven - Godfather of Cambridge-to-London trance party Sucker Punch, M Eleven has a purity of focus most of us can only envy. Over live appearances, mixes and videographic documentary, he has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to and extensive knowledge of, particularly, trance and rap music. With an impressive depth of selection, M Eleven's mixes can induce ecstasy and bleakness, encompass the depths of dreams and triumph. From recent link-ups with Baby Pantera and Pholo to the Trauma Unit co-sign, M Eleven is one of the hardest working DJs about. It's an honour to present his Bristol debut.

emrys - emrys has progressively built up a musical identity through regular appearances at Bristol parties such as Ar-Lein and select mixes. With an ear equipped for giddy bounce tracks, thundering UK rap and heavenly ambient, their sound is both that of internet archivist and dancefloor energizer.

lillie_cat b2b tskali - Bath wunderkind lillie_cat opened up the first Realist Alive in December 2024. An all-engorging talent, lillie_cat's sets are fresh, twinkling loveletters to garage, breaks and footwork. We close the loop as she goes b2b with Realist head and sonic demolitionist tskali for a 160+ throwdown to close the night.
