Familiar Strangers- Gallegos, Boulderhead, Remotif at Cosies
£3 advance, £5 on the door

A clubnight held at Cosies on Friday 29th October. The event starts at 22:00.

After last year's sold out label launch party, Remotif brings Familiar Strangers back to Cosies for another massive-yet-little rave up. This time he's enlisted the help of a couple of Bristol's most exciting up-and-comers on the on the house/tech/bass/breaks intersection right now...

First up is Gallegos, whose endless salvo of bombs on labels such as Holding Hands and Banoffee Pies has been continuously turning heads over the last 12 months. Never one to sit still, he's also found time to hold down his wonderful SWU FM radio show on AND start a new record label, Service Please. Behind the decks, he's a fearless and diverse selector, one with no qualms about jumping between garage, house, breaks and rave at a moment's notice.

Warming up proceedings will be Boulderhead, the boss of Mint Tea Records, co-founder of the DO-IY party collective and all-round lovely chap. Fresh off the back of a couple of truly lethal records on the Craigie Knowes, Yellow Island Records, and Lobster Theremin offshoot label SITU, he'll be packing plenty of tastefully selected rollers and groovers to get things started.

Riding high on a spectacular run of records on Coymix, Pleasant Life and Air Miles, Remotif himself will be sending off the night a diverse selection of trancey breakbeat bombs, squelchy tech house and left-of-centre house music.
