Underground Passage. A special end of year session at Cosies
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Pre-NYE Cosies blowout with Bristol's nuclear dub link-up: Young Echo's Ossia. Promising an all night affair with uplifting selects from the weirdest fringes of soundsystem culture & beyond + live set of industrialized future-step with Dali de Saint Paul (EP/64) and BKV Industrial on the mic. This wont be your normal roots-a-run so bring your open mind with your dancing shoes."

A clubnight held at Cosies on Friday 30th December. The event starts at 22:00.

The idea came out of nowhere really, but then it just felt like it needed to happen...

All night long, down in the basement - playing records (strictly the great ones, end of the year style) and interjecting the night, probably at some point around 1am, with a special improvised performance between Ossia, Dali De Saint Paul and BKV Industrial. Expect heavy rhythms for your body to shock to, and brain-tingling live vocals, and more mic action - voice, and otherwise.

So here we are - nearing the end of the year 2022.
We invite you to walk down those steps into Bristol's most infamous basement, Cosies, one last time this year.
Although you can expect heavy doses of roots, raw dub, steppers and other soundsystem music - this event will run a little differently than your usual Cosies session.
Ossia invited two utterly unique and inspring people from the Bristol underground scene to join him in creating a space that will aim to uplift our downtrodden souls, and open a vortex into a world of musical sounds that will take us to another place, for one night only.

Expect strictly big tunes, and the weirdest stuff you never knew you loved, played with the full experience in mind - start to finish.

Join the ride, and let's momentarily dance away, and escape the pain of this world in turmoil.
Fuck war, fuck the tories, fuck brexit, fuck the social division of people, fuck the unstoppable capitalist machine, fuck all of that - This is a celebration for us, the people - not government, not for the self-serving media, not for those who fuel hate.

... Tonight, in the basement of Cosies: it's strictly love.

All proceeds for this event will go towards Bristol homeless charity 'BOSH'.

£5 (or more) on the door.

Thanks for your intrigue, and we hope that you'll join us for this special one-off night.
