We are back with an action packed, stacked lineup for our June party!
We welcome back one of our favourite DJ's, the mighty Emily Dust! Emily has built an impressive reputation for showcasing the world’s most exciting music. Firmly rooted in the UK’s underground, she seamlessly blends together forward-thinking club sounds like dancehall, baile funk, UK bass, kuduro, batida and gqom.
Her energetic sets have seen her play in front of thousands at festivals like Glastonbury, Boomtown, Bestival, across the world in Jamaica, Ghana and Brazil and alongside the likes of Daniel Haaksman, Marginal Men and Jamz Supernova to name but a few. Her mixes have lit up the airwaves of BBC Radio 1Xtra, Australia’s Triple J, the British Council’s Selector and more.
Furthermore we welcome Village Cuts to the diskotek for the first time. Originally hailing from the South-West, Village Cuts are a dynamic DJ duo exploring a blend of afro-diasporic and UK underground music. Since their inception in early 2018, they’ve barged their way onto London’s tropical bass scene with some afro-edits, regular club nights around the capital and radio appearances featuring a number of special guests.
On top of this we welcome longtime friend of the diskotek, the ever excellent Reason SoundSystm as well! This crew are part of Glastonbury Festival's notorious Babylon Uprising Market Soundsystem and are also behind the Reason Roadblock Carnival truck which brings the spirit of soca to the festival every year.
Support of course comes from the Ruffnek Diskotek crew; Rukus, Dub Boy, Atki2 and Jonesy Wales.
