Essential Sessions- Síbín Soundsystem ft Eva Keyes

Following a very short hiatus, Essential Sounds returns for our final Essential Sessions hosted at Cosies. This session we've invited Limerick's emerging roots reggae Soundsystem: Síbín Soundsystem ft Eva Keyes straight outta the emerald island.

Síbín Soundsystem is a custom built soundsystem from Limerick, Ireland, owned and operated by Frankie Downbeat and Macca.

Selectors Frankie & Macca alongside Eva Keyes have been playing Reggae music together since 2007 and were all original members of Limerick's Roots Factory crew who ran events across Ireland and UK and went on to release records produced by Brigadier Jc and featuring artists like YT, Solo Banton, Sandeeno and more.

Frankie has produced 1980s style digital reggae records for labels like Cubilculo and Dig-Ital (Conscious Sounds) featuring artists like Mikey General, Wayne Marshall & Charlie P.

Eva has been collecting and playing heavyweight roots and dub for many years, alongside working with established dub producers including Dan Taliras, Alpha Steppa, Indica Dubs, Vibronics and Weeding Dub.

Her sound blends reggae and dub with a distinct Irish vocal flavour, with her tunes played worldwide by some of the biggest sounds, including Jah Shaka and Iration Steppas.

Síbin Soundsystem play Reggae music across the ages on the traditional vinyl format with bags full of hand cut dubplates and exclusive cuts with live vocals from Eva Keyes.

Frankie Downbeat also ran Cosies for several years bringing many great names in the reggae/dub world into the Cosies basement for some of the best sessions that ever happened there. Powered by Essential Soundsystem this is gonna be a great end to a serious run of events there these past two years so don't miss out.
