Carthnage is a Global Bass music project by Ahmed Gelby (Cairo, Egypt) and Juan Lopez (Medellin, Colombia).
The project focuses on reinterpreting the sounds from Africa and Latin America with a UK bass twist. and without restricting or confining to a particular sub-region.
Cross-border collaboration has been a focal point for Carthnage, proven by vocal features from multi-instrumentalist Giovanni Kiyingi (Uganda) for their debut song ‘Ziwunna’ and Dat García (Argentina) for their latest two tracks ‘Sequía’ and ‘Maghreb’, released on Salgari/LittleBeatMore and Nowadays Records respectively.
The future looks exciting for Carthnage with a forthcoming collaboration with BET nominee Toya Delazy to be released on RebelUp Records alongside remixes by El Peche, Haatah and Waggles.

Introducing Bungzo. Deliverer of deliciously deviant beats and blood-pumping bass.
As a non-binary and queer DJ, Bungzo seeks to create safe, accessible spaces for folks to express themselves and be free. Bungzo is a versatile DJ with their music spanning genres such as world, global bass, footwork, jungle, d&b and jungletek. During their sets and in their mixes Bungzo reaches inwards and brings out their deep pleasure and joy in dancing to music, sharing in delight and exhilaration with audiences.
Bungzo began their musical journey as a DJ with the Intervention workshops and Mix Nights, a course run by Saffron Records. Since then, they have had success playing with the female & non-binary DJ crew, Booty Bass, at the biggest clubs in Bristol, as well as festivals like Glastonbury, Boomtown and Shambala.
