After a blazing start to the summer Essential Sessions returns to Cosies on 31st July for a special night of roots and culture, featuring old and new friends of Essential Sound System

Natty Lee, head of Bristol born Essential Sounds, has been blessing up dances and street corners with his eclectic selection of rasta reggae, dancehall and dubwise music for years.

Selector HAKIM playing strictly vinyl, with a love for roots, reggae, and dub. He digs for heavyweight riddims, rare gems as well as classics.

ForwardUp (Matt) has been an active collector and selector of conscious soundsystem led reggae for over two decades. Expect upbeat vinyl only draws from early roots to upfront- heavyweight dubwise, some familiar & definitely some unheard.
