Benjamin Spike Saunders and his full band invite you to an evening in the serene setting of Cotham Parish Church.
Drifting through waves of slow, unfurling guitars, gentle strings & heart-beating drums, Saunders’ delicate songs elicit solitude and narrate the bittersweet beauty of everyday life’s mundanities. Reminiscent of Caroline and Angelo De Augustine, Saunders’ music is influenced by the likes of Sigur Ros and Sparklehorse.
A solid part of the Bristol indie music scene, playing guitar for Katy J Pearson and bass in 5-piece punk band, Cruelty, Benjamin's new EP was released on Bristol DIY label, Gold Day Recordings. So Young magazine highlighted Saunders' emotive resonance, stating his work is "a slow, chemical shot of nurtured empathy".

British-Ugandan songwriter Daudi Matsiko carefully crafts modern, albeit reverent folk. Deft, melancholic picking reminiscent of Nick Drake is tempered by contemporary instrumentation, with Matsiko’s vocals deriving their strength from their seeming fragility. With every song, his confessional lyrics cut to the marrow.
2023 has seen Matsiko receive a standing ovation at this year's The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, and his much-anticipated debut album is expected January 19th 2024.

Pem is the project of Bristol based musician Emily Perry. Blending her rare husky voice with boundless vocal agility, she crafts a sound that hovers somewhere between folk and the smoky serenades of early sirens in music halls of days gone by. Stratospheric high notes, sweeping vocal leaps and husky vibrato trills, her haunting voice floats and dances up and over ethereal arrangements and intricate taletelling, lulling listeners into warm hazes of vulnerable contemplation.
