FIKA

Fika are a groove laden 8-piece neo-soul collective, meshing together a love for harmonic movement through spoken word, rap and poetry, all performed to a backdrop of funky hooks and giddy time signatures. Inspired by the vibrant jazz scenes in Leeds and London, Fika yearns to create a sound that is evocative and guided by self expression. After spreading themselves all across the UK and extracting influences from every corner, Fika returned richer than ever in sound and in vitality.

SEMPER (Support)

Semper is a new project of some of Bristol's finest improvising musicians. Drawing influence from the sounds of Bristol's contemporary jazz scene, mixing hip-hop, breakbeats and other club styles with jazz improvisation, their music combined skilful playing with danceable grooves and complex lines.

On August 5th Fika Launch the long-awaited second instalment of their series entitled 'Respiration, Vol. 2', a soulful masterpiece with a b-side of fresh remixes.
