Chai Wallahs 20th Year - Homecoming at Crofters Rights

A gig held at Crofters Rights on Friday 8th February. The event starts at 20:00.

Award winning festival music venue Chai Wallahs kick off our 20th anniversary year with a return to our roots. Bringing the best of the underground from festival seasons to the urban delights of Bristol for one night only!

Over the course of our history Chai Wallahs have had the honour of bringing our unique stage to the likes of Shambala, Boomtown, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Green Man Festival, Kendal Calling and many more so we know a thing or two about throwing a good party.

Introducing some of our favourite new discoveries from festival season 2018...

Agbeko

11 piece Afrobeat/Ethiojazz band based in sunny Manchester. These guys had a huge 2018, including playing for us at Green Man Festival and even performed at Bulgarian hedonistic heaven Meadows in the Mountains.

Malavita

Genre defying funksters from South West creating music made for dancing and having fun, the soundtrack to your night out, festival or party. A mix up of hand crafted nu funk, with latin influences, reggae vibes and a balkan twist to invigorate your soul.

Amy True

The London hip hop scene’s best kept secret. Amy True is a member of the People’s Army Movement and formerly of Caxton Press during their zenith, she has also collaborated with the likes of Akala, Benjamin Zephaniah and the Revolutionary Minds, Natty, Shabaka Hutchings and Nubya Garcia to name a few. Amy True is ready to take 2019 by storm.

Doors open 20:00 - 03:00 Live Artists from 22:00 - 01:00 with Chai Wallahs DJ's before and after. Tickets £5/£7/£8 or £5 ticket club night only (After 12pm)
