Two Day Coma’s foundation started with childhood friends Tom Harris and Jake Scarborough. When Tom’s stark, honest songwriting style met Jake’s knack for DIY recording the pair began making bedroom demos that aimed higher than their makeshift studio. When the two met multi-instrumentalist Ollie Lucas and drummer Zac Harkavy the band was complete. Taking influence everywhere from britpop and indie to post-punk and folk, the Bristol based four-piece have managed to find an emotive sound that is truly original.
2019 saw the release of their first full-length effort ‘A Certain Shade of Blue’, a self-made album, largely recorded in bedrooms, living rooms and anywhere the band could plug in and play. The album caught the attention of Clash Magazine, 6Music and BBC Introducing and helped the band attract a dedicated fan base.
The band are back with a new music having recently released new single ‘Happy For Now’ on 14th February.
Gully
A combination of punchy brass, memorable guitar riffs, groovy bass lines and 80's inspired drums. The Man himself is ‘an endearing collage of indie pop with generous sprinkles of jazz and classic rock applied.’ To be put simply ‘Happy songs for sad people.’ (Self-absorbed sub-genre portmanteau pending). Gully takes an Off the Wall Michael Jackson and delivers it in a Bastille-esque britpop package. One of the most promising soloists in Bath at the moment.
The Marianas
A 5-piece Indie Rock/Pop band based in the City of Bath, UK. You’ll see them blending bold, original synths with smooth and bubbly guitar tones. With a sound that parallels characteristics of 80s Dance with some arena rock elements being channelled on the side. This is made noticeable by their prominent, punchy rhythms and intelligent use of syncopation (which lies as the backbone to many of their tracks).
