Harry Christelis Quartet

We're very lucky to catch this fantastic band at the right time — just after the release of their latest album, "Preserving Fictions", and right in the middle of their tour. It's a beautiful, thoughtful experiment in the melding of jazz and improvisation with the ambient soundscapes pioneered by Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, Jon Hassell as well as more modern ambient masters such as Jon Hopkins and local heroes Eyebrow.

Harry describes it like this: "An exploration of how music and art can serve as a means to preserve and document the seeming truths we see, hear, feel, and experience every day ... fusing elements of jazz and folk traditions with ambient drones and delicate electronic textures to create a truly immersive listening experience."
