I am a 19 year old artist originally from Reading who puts a focus on
lyrics and wordplay. I first started music by learning classical/jazz
guitar but have always written poetry and wrote a lot before. The clear
route was to tie these two together and create and a genre-fluid sound
with a unique story-telling vocal. I mostly write about life experiences
with an introspective style with “tongue in cheek” wordplay. In the
future I want to experiment with more styles as I develop with keys-
playing and production. As of now I would say I make a hip-hop
influenced indie-pop as I am influenced by artists like Dominik fike,
Easy life and rapper Mac miller

G U Y is a southwest based artist originally raised in Wiltshire now living in Bristol. Combining his Jamaican Heritage and Countryside Upbringing, his fused style of melodic Hip-Hop, RnB and spoken word captures the listeners attention through catchy hooks and relatable lyrics. Coming off a summer of performing at some of the UK’s biggest festivals, this emerging artist brings his unique vibe to every performance.
