On Air Records Presents: Richie Blacker & Guests at Dare to Club
See event details

A clubnight held at Dare to Club on Friday 18th March. The event starts at 22:00.

This event is a very special one for us! We have gone all out and created a lineup of some incredible artists who will be joining us here in Bristol. We are very excited to welcome Richie Blacker, Because of Art and Mr. Sosa to Bristol for this epic event!

Expect to hear the best in acid house, breakbeat, progressive grooves and rave music as we travel through 8 hours of 90’s styled nostalgia inside the UV painted walls of Dare2Club from 10pm until 6am! This party is going to be full throttle fun from start to finish, filled with 3 incredible headliners and our very talented On Air Residents that always provide the best selection of music to keep you dancing all night long

MAIN ROOM:

Richie Blacker: The Belfast based DJ and Producer will be flying over from Ireland to gift Bristol with his unpredictable twists and turns through the sounds of the electronic underworld of House & Techno. With releases on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth, Skream’s label Of Unsound Mind and the amazing AnjunaDeep it is evidently clear that Richie is not just a passing phase and is definitely one of the most significant up and coming talents on the scene.
His energy for performance and unmistakable authenticity as well as his ability to read a room makes us very excited to have him join us here in Bristol, don’t miss out on catching this versatile artist as he fuses together techno, disco and melodic undertones during his 2 hour set at Dare2Club.

Because of Art: London based producer Alex Grover has very quickly established himself as one of dance music’s hottest new talents! Alex has played at one of our On Air parties back in 2019 and is a good friend of ours. We have watched him rapidly grow as an artist and break onto the scene, hailing attention from ravers, DJ’s and tastemakers alike so we are super excited to have him return for this very special occasion!
Alex’s release ‘Elevate’ on Danny Howard’s label Nothing Else Matters saw him spend over 6 weeks on top of the Beatport Leftfield House and Techno Chart. The track then received very strong Radio 1 support and most notably, support from electronic dance music pioneer Sasha. This led to releases on Sasha’s LUZoSCURA LP, Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label and also, Stress Records! Outside of the studio Because of Art is now a growing name on the UK DJ circuit, most notably sharing bills with the likes of Sven Vath, Dusky, Eats Everything and many more at Motion, Bristol.

Mr Sosa: Renowned for his menacing acid lines and catchy chords and making an imprint on the house and breakbeat scene, Mr. Sosa heads to Bristol from Bournemouth to join us on our 8 hour trip. With releases being fired out similarly to Because of Art and Richie Blacker on our favourite labels Last Night On Earth, AnjunaDeep and Of Unsound Mind, this is a perfect fit for our main room takeover. His psychedelic and vibrant sound will be sure to take you on a journey for his 2 hour set.

Sirenco B2B William: On Air Residents Sirenco and william have been with us right from the start so it is always super special to have these guys on the lineup. Sirenco joined us back in 2019 when he took over the decks from the legendary Darren Emerson, then really turned up the heat as he took to the decks not once but twice at the Defected Day and Night Party at Motion and since then has joined us at every single party! William, owner of event brand SixWasNine, an ever-growing underground Birmingham and Bristol based collective and party first impressed us at our Stokes Croft Day Party. Since then he has gone on to support Dusky at the legendary Lakota, play alongside some of House and Techno's biggest names at Summer of Love festival and build his own following with his music productions and sets on both SWU and 1020 Radio.
These two are blowing up Bristol and we can't wait to see the energy that both these talented, energetic producers and DJ's bring to Dare2Club in March!
Basement:

Robots With No Soul: Don't be fooled by robotic motifs- Robots With No Soul is an electronic battle cry for authenticity. The British techno renegade is driven by pit-of-the-stomach feeling. There is no boxing, packaging and mass-producing his off-kilter drum beats, raging bass lines and emotive melodies. Rejecting mechanical, copy-and-paste culture for something far deeper, his music is a personal exploration into the possibilities of sound. RWNS quickly caught the attention of modern techno's most distinctive duo, Dense & Pika. After joining their roster to play the Watergate Berlin main room in 2018, the DJ-producer went on to release an album on their acclaimed Kneaded Pains label in 2020. More recently, RWNS gained a new fan in the name of Sasha, one of the most iconic and successful DJ's and Producers on the electronic dance music scene, leading to the release of his most recent EP 'Sedona Circle' on Sasha's own label Last Night on Earth. RWNS headlined our last event which went down incredibly well, those of you that got to catch his set will know he's well worth seeing again!

Transistor Rhythms: Co-Founder of party brands Automation Inc & Cirque Electronique, Transistor Rhythms is no stranger to the techno scene. With releases on Dense & Pika's label Kneaded Pains, Eatmybeat and Apex Records, Transistor Rhythms draws inspiration from Bristol bass culture and delivers a techno soundscape to bring you into the mainframe of his digital world. With frequent residency on 1020 Radio and a regular at our own nights too, we can confidently say that this set will be a real treat!

LUKE: After making his On Air debut back in October, we are very, very excited to invite him back for his third set with the On Air family! As a trained musician, born and bred in Bristol, this guy has toured the country in bands playing keys, guitar and singing. With a huge passion for House and Techno and an impressively keen ear for music, LUKE has now turned his hand to the decks. The positive feedback we received from multiple people after his closing set last year proved to us that this guy really has a huge talent for reading a crowd and selecting perfect tracks to fit the night. Join us in the basement!

Dealo Brown: We first booked Dealo to play in March 2020, but for obvious reasons this event had to unfortunately be cancelled. We feel really privileged to be able to have him finally be part of our crew, this time behind the decks! Dealo has followed what we do right from the start and has shown us so much support and love that we wanted to do the same in return! Dealo really caught our attention during lockdown, his weekly livestreams showcasing his talent for mixing and connecting with an audience even during such difficult times really proved to us how passionate he is about the underground scene and what it represents. Come check him out and show him some love!
