Nestled on Upper York Street at the border of Stokes Croft and St Pauls, Lakota is one of Bristol’s longest-standing pillars of underground music. Founded in 1992, it occupies what remains of the historic Stokes Croft Brewery.
In recent years it has expanded into multiple interconnected spaces: the original club, the newly opened Moon Club, the Lakota Gardens, plus Coroner’s Court for more intimate underground bookings.
Sticking true to their roots, expect multi-room club nights that span drum and bass, jungle, techno, garage, dubstep and more. Lakota is known for pulling big national and international names like Majistrate, DJ Shimamura, QING MADI and Tiffany Calver, but local lineups are equally strong. Club regulars Tribe of Frog are a Bristol psytrance scene staple.
The club’s ground floor spaces (including Lakota Gardens and Coroner’s Court) are fully wheelchair accessible and include an accessible toilet. Carer tickets are available. More information can be found on the Lakota Website: https://lakota.co.uk/club-rules
