event
held at Dareshack
on Sunday 1st October. The event starts at 19:00.
“Hello? Is somebody there?”
Ash is a circus artist living a quiet and content life in Valencia, when one day a mundane encounter triggers a series of increasingly unnerving events.
As more and more cracks begin to appear in everyday life, and the line between reality and dream erodes, she is left with a choice - to run, or turn and dive deeper into discovering the cause. A fictional story based on real events, These Things Aren’t Mine is a dynamic visual journey through the body, mind and time - a story of discovery, acceptance and hope.
Written in collaboration with former gymnast turned circus artist Gabbie Cook, These Things Aren’t Mine is a visceral, abstract and emotive exploration into the psyche of an ex-child athlete living with PTSD and hyper vigilance.
Both of the screenings will be followed by a 20 minute Q&A with Gabbie Cook and Barney White
