El Rincon debut for this excellent trio, comprising Moussa Kouyate on kora (the beautiful 21-stringed West African harp), Emmy Broughton on concert harp, and local stalwart David Mowat on flugelhorn and spoken word. Moussa is a unique player from a 1000-year old lineage, and the band's repertoire mixes traditional Malian melodies and Moussa's compositions with jazz improvisations and poems about his life as a griot or community-builder in Bristol's parks and harbourside.
