Carniepunks channel the spirits of early post-punk bands such
as Killing Joke, Bauhaus and The Birthday Party along with the
deranged psychedelic blues of Dr John the Night Tripper in his
early Atco period.

Their sound is built on tribal beats, loud guitars, wailing
harmonicas, screams and croons all delivered with a tincture of
dread as befits these dystopian times.

In previous years members of Carniepunks have shared bills
with luminaries such as Radiohead, P.J. Harvey, The Manic
Street Preachers and Gallon Drunk to name just a few.
First single, ‘Don’t mess with the Toadmen’ (comes on like a
melee of The Birthday Party and The Fall fighting it out in a tale
of English rustic voodoo) is out now on Bandcamp.

Silenzio and the Night are a six piece Bristol based band who conjure up themes for a romantic heist movie road trip from Tangiers to Stockholm. The band seductively and harmonically pull you into their sonic world using percussion, full spectrum strings, guitar, bass and voice, creating a unique and atmospheric soundscape.

Multi-instrumentalist and composer Keith Bailey (Spaceways, The Experimental Pop Band) draws from a diverse range of pop, jazz, grunge and sixties cinema soundtrack influences in his writing including Gabor Szabo, Richard Hawley, Lalo Schrifrin, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Bernard Hermann, Henry Mancini, John Barry and Sonic Youth.

"Upping the ante with quirky, edgy ballads of pop finesse that have a Divine Comedy feel about them" LOUDER THAN WAR.

Please note the basement is not wheelchair accessible. For more accessibility info, please email [email protected]
