Radical Bookfair at Exchange
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Radical ideas free the mind. Detoxify your brain with pamphlets, zines and books from independent publishers; informational stalls from local campaign groups; free talks in the basement; and vegan hotdogs from Exchange’s new menu (OK hotdogs won’t actually do anything for your brain but still….)"

Resisting State Fascism: Lessons from Turkey and the Kurdistan Freedom Movement 12-1pm

Far right Authoritarianism and fascism is once again spreading and claiming power across Europe. However, confronting fascism has been the day to day reality of the Kurdish people for over 100 years. From armed resistance against ISIS to electoral campaigning within the Turkish state, to building an anti-fascist mentality throughout the whole of society, the KFM combats fascism on every front. We want to look at this as an example and guide for our anti-fascist movements here.

Anarchist constitutional politics!? 1-2pm
In this session, Alex Prichard introduces three of his recent book projects. Each book sheds new light on an aspect of anarchist thinking that is usually ignored or overlooked entirely. Did you know that anarchists constitutionalise routinely? Come along to find out more!

The bookfair is free to attend. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Programme of free talks - details to follow - in the basement room (the stalls are in the main room and mostly on one level, but the basement is sadly not fully accessible due to stairs. Please do get in touch with us at info @ activedistribution.org if you have any other access needs we could hopefully help with).
