Aïsha Devi (DJ Set)
[Houndstooth / Danse Noire]
Aïsha Devi cuts an unusual figure in electronic music. Her self-described “hi-fi shamanism” swings vicariously from a soft lull to vibrant explosions of colour and genre, stretching her voice around avant-garde electronics. Through her unpredictable sound, as well as the “ritual music” of her Danse Noir label, Devi has carved a singular approach; fusing the transcendent possibilities of the club with the vibrant force of her own spiritual enlightenment.
After many years of live touring worldwide, cementing her status as one of the top performers in her field, Aïsha Devi made her European DJ debut at HORST Festival last September with an absolutely ecstatic set, filled with her signature edits and plenty of Club slammers. We're proud to welcome her to Bristol as she plays her first DJ shows in the UK.
Jay Glass Dubs (DJ Set)
[Bokeh Versions / Berceuse Heroique]
Dimitris Papadatos aka Jay Glass Dubs was born in the USA in 1981 and subsequently moved to Greece where he grew up. Though his work as a composer, musician and sound artist he has become one of the leaders in experimental dub electronics and a core member of the Bokeh Versions squad.
His work primarily focuses on spirituality and transformation and is an exercise of style focusing on a counter-factual historical approach of dub music, stripped down to its basic drum / bass / vox / effects form.
DJ Mooncup
[Noods Radio]
A regular at London's Proteus and Free Movement nights, DJ Mooncup (aka Ellen) focuses on the weird, dark and hypnotic, drawing links between genres that seem unrelated on the surface but connect on a deeper level. Expect Techno, Trance, PsyTrance and more.
Top tip: Check out their series on Glastonbury folklore on Noods Radio, for all your magickal needs ✨
