B-Sydes

Modern folk that’s as powerful as it is personal

Modern and authentic folk delivered with power, personality and purpose. B-SYDES (aka rising singer-songwriter Ben Sydes) has been capturing the hearts and minds of audiences since his first EPs and critically-acclaimed albums.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Frank Turner, Gaz Brookfield, Ferocious Dog, Sam Duckworth, Beans on Toast and countless more, he’s honed his craft, found his true voice, and has set himself up to chase the many ambitions within his music.

It’s on stage where Sydes really comes into his own, where his punk-tinged troubadour energy is allowed to breathe. Just listen to his single ‘The Desperate Dance’ - It’s the truth of the ordinary that lies at the heart of Sydes’ music. It’s about breathing fun into real life. There’s no far flung fantasy at work here, just a voice trying to music that’s extraordinary but relatable.

The next challenge comes as Sydes continues work on his third album. With a host of friends and collaborators on board and even more ideas, his next release will take him to ever more adventurous places.

Heartwork

Self-produced and self-debasing, Heartwork is the emotive-rock brainchild of Dan O’Dell. Much like every guy with an acoustic guitar of the past 15 years, he likes to call the project a “band”, but really; it’s a lack of displaying any ability to relinquish any kind of control

Ed Poole

With brooding acoustic guitar lines and soaring vocals, Ed Poole weaves emo, punk rock and folk with dark, atmospheric tones, all together delivered with a passionate and powerful live performance. After leaving his native Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, back in 2004, he enjoyed several years of recording and touring with bands across the UK and Europe, before eventually becoming a staple of (his adopted hometown) Liverpool’s DIY scene with his solo project. Ed Poole has since been captivating live audiences up and down the UK for over a decade. After two EPs and a split with label-mate, Seven Years Behind, his debut album, Envelop/Erase was released in 2019 via Liverpool based indie-label, Doing Life Records. The follow up to which, entitled The Moments We Aim For, was released (again via Doing Life Records) on 22nd March 2023.

Sounds Like: Dashboard Confessional, Dave Hause, Julien Baker, Aaron West & The Roaring Twenties, City & Colour
