Come along for a chill night of local songwriters including Sean Edwards, supported by Max Sloan, Ellie Ives and Benji Grut!
Sean has been a bedroom songwriter for over 10 years and after moving to Bristol is finally taking his songs to the stage. He’s been described as a wise old man, although just 26, with the delivery of James Acaster and the fashion of Ned Shneebly (Jack Black in School of Rock). Sean’s songs have been likened to that of The Killers, Strokes, and Oasis - With writings about self-reflection and life lessons. Sean is currently working on an E.P. with the first track “Give It Up” out now.
Max Sloan is a indie/folk artist based in Bristol, from Belfast. He released an EP called "Make Me Better" last summer which features emotive lyrics and experimental instrumentals inspired by artists such as Bon Iver and Lizzy McAlpine.
Ellie Ives, originally from Portsmouth, is a 23 year old Bristol based singer songwriter. Singing heartfelt ballads with raw emotion, Ellie writes about her feelings to better comprehend them. Ellie draws inspiration from the likes of Tom Odell, Olivia Dean, and Easy Life.
Benji Grut is a indie singer/songwriter and guitarist from Guernsey. His music is inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Bo Burnham, Bill wurtz, Ed Sheeran, Jacob collier and Cave Town. He studies at Bimm Bristol and plays a variety of instruments.
He started off on the drums at age 8 and has been developing his songwriting on ukulele and guitar for 6 years.
