POSTPONED
Disappointingly we have decided to postpone this gig until covid anxieties calm.
All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date when confirmed and we remain very excited for it.
Thank you for your understanding & best wishes.

Justin Adams & Mohamed Errebbaa
It's a great privilege to welcome Justin Adams & Mohamed Errebbaa to Friendly Records for a very special and intimate fundraising occasion for Bristol's Aid Box Community (ABC).
Justin Adams needs little introduction as he has been Robert Plant's sideman on lead guitar since the early 2000s. What makes it extra exciting for us is his well travelled musical experiences from the early days of Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart to holding the producer anchor for groups such as Tinariwen, Rachid Taha & LoJo. He has released three brilliant albums as dynamic duo JUJU with Gambian griot Juldeh Camera alongside much more. Justin is currently in rich form with two new projects; his duo with Mauro Durante strips down form to the essence of reverberating blues & the lamenting melodies of Southern Italy. Tonight however, he'll be exploring the deep trance power of the Gnawa & desert blues repertoire alongside Gnawa master Mohamed Errebbaa on Gimbri, a three striped lute. Errebbaa began performing with traditional Sufi brotherhoods in Rabat, Morocco at the age of ten and received the title of Maalem (master of the Gnawa tradition) at the age of 28. Bristol is very fortunate that Mohammed now resides here. It's a privilege to welcome such sensitive & rich musicianship to Friendly Records.
ABC formed from outreach work in the camps of Northern France in 2015 and has developed a supportive framework in Bristol that welcomes asylum seekers and refugees to the city; the creation of their central Hub has allowed them to reach over 500 vulnerable displaced people from 42 different countries. Their founding principle is to uphold the basic rights of refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical aid, support and direction and, by doing so, making their daily lives a little easier.
Within the Hub, ABC is able to offer a social meeting place and issue essential provisions as most of their members live on £6 per day whilst many are currently housed in temporary accommodation in hotels, living on £8 per week working out at £1.14 per day; many members are suffering with mental health issues and isolation. As well as the Hub, they run successful outreach groups building community and support with a host of activities, workshops & friendship.
