South coast based respected pianist and composer Ray D'Inverno has played with most of the UK's major jazz musicians at some point in his career. Quintessential Grove features the excellent Canadian tenor saxophonist Terry Quinney, best known for his work with Sound of Blue Note, well known Bristol bandleader Andy Hague on trumpet, Ray D'Inverno on piano, Ben Taylor on bass and Lee Miller at the drums. The band will be playing Ray's transcriptions of tunes by Joshua Redman, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and other composers plus some of Ray's own excellent originals.
