Iain Ballamy's wonderful quartet return to Fringe Jazz exactly one year after the bands first ever performance which was at the Fringe last September. For tonight's performance Iain, Jason and Mark are joined by the virtuoso Russian bassist Yuri Goloubev. The programme will span decades and genres with fresh takes on well loved standards and new original material by Ballamy in preparation for a future recording for ECM records.

Highlights of a career spanning nearly 30 years include working with Loose Tubes, Bill Bruford’s Earthworks, Hermeto Pascoal, Django Bates, Kenny Werner, Gil Evans, George Coleman, John Taylor, June Tabor, Huw Warren, Richard Rodney Bennett's 'Concerto for Stan Getz', Ian Shaw, Claire Martin, Everything but the Girl, Mike Gibbs, Carla Bley and many more.

JASON REBELLO is one of the UK's most popular jazz and fusion pianist. For almost 20 years he's been the keyboard player of choice for Sting, Jeff Beck, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Chaka Khan. In the Jazz world he's worked with Wayne Shorter, Art Blakey, Branford Marsalis, Tim Garland and many others as well as pursuing a ground breaking solo career with a string of successful albums and projects.
