A
event
on Sunday 20th November. The event starts at 14:00.
We live in a world which values rationality and reason so highly it is almost dogmatic. In my years helping people with their mental health and in the reading and studies of the past century or two when reason usurped faith, though it has lead to many a great thing, it has also impacted us negatively.
This has to do with its conflict with our nature - a nature which is not rational. A nature we must ironically accept to be the most rational we can be.
This affects our mental health and our conflict with irrational aspects of ourselves.
It also affects the culture wars of people condemned for greater or lesser rationality, where most of the forces which create conflict are the same irrational (and unconscious) reasons, despite the content seeming opposed.
This is a talk to introduce the idea and why a knowledge of where we have come from and how our nature is structured is important to foster inner peace and peace in the world.
