Tim Baker and Mark J. Lee at The Hare on the Hill
£14

A gig held at The Hare on the Hill on Friday 31st January. The event starts at 19:30.

Tim Baker released his beautiful debut solo album, Forever Overhead (Arts & Crafts) in April. A blend of piano ballads with ebullient folk-rock tracks, the record is also brushed with the qualities of 70s singer-songwriters (think Jackson Browne and Randy Newman) and contemporaries like Feist, Leif Vollebekk, and The Barr Brothers. The organic blend of pop grooves and folk-rock is straightforward with curious undertones and provides a timeless backdrop for Baker’s vibrant lyricism. It was received with adoring ears by both music media and fans alike.

“Nostalgic and nuanced, with a chorus that nods to Jackson Browne and a buoyant, bubbling verse worthy of Feist.” – Rolling Stone

Mark J. Lee is a Country singer, guitar player and producer from South Devon UK. Inspired by classic country sounds from Nashville to Bakersfield with a style that is both original and in step with the golden era of country songwriting.
