Mitsu who recently received wide critical acclaim for his album ‘Doughnuts’ a tribute to J Dilla has been influential in creating the trademark Japanese sound of Hip Hop Jazz crossover, in the last 10 years he has accomplished great feats in the underground hip hop scene across the globe, following in the footsteps of pioneer DJ Krush. Performing at the likes Gilles Petersons worldwide festival and Dour festival for Belgium’s favorite Lefto, feature on mix tapes for Blue Note Records, Extra Feeding, Sound Maneuvers and license through Columbia and BBE records.
His latest Boiler Room Sessions packed full of rare hip hop vinyl selections achieving 100’s of thousands of views. Air play on BBC Radio 6 Music, Bancamp Weekly and Benji B at Radio 1 as well. And has collaborated with clothing company Carhartt who provided the gear for the last Jazzy Sport European tour.
