CRACK MAGAZINE AND HAVANA RUM PRESENT:
LUKE ABBOTT (LIVE) (Border Community) + WORSHIP + DUNEZ (DJ)
FREE DRINK OF HAVANA CLUB RUM ON ENTRY
Crack's monthly Start The Bus residency returns with a blistering line-up of forward thinking new music. For the rather saintly door tax of under a fiver, you get a free drink of Havana Club rum and a whole evening of stunning new music.
Luke Abbott is the natural heir to James Holden's Border Community crown. His debut album Holkham Drones is a wonderfully crafted symphonic piece of magic and one of the best things Crack has heard for a while. Clearly taking huge inspiration from Holden, Abbott has crafted an edgy, hazy, multi-generic record that is finding buzz with a huge cross-section of DJ's. Catch him on November 12th at Start The Bus when he plays for Crack. We are tingling with anticipation for his performance.
Worship are a band receiving a healthy amount of hype for good reason. A great image and an ethereal sound bathed in dark percussive drumming, Worship are also on the bill for Crack's residency at Start The Bus on November 12th. Expect cold lyrics, and dark brooding sounds. Current single Collateral has the clattering drum touch of Thom Yorke buried in the melody and racing song structure. A band playing the right venues and crafting a brilliant reputation.
