The Diplomats of Sound are a collective of emerging artists, DJ's, promoters and social entrepreneurs that have been brought together through the activities of the critically acclaimed and award winning venue Chai Wallahs. As the largest independent venue on the UK festival circuit Chai Wallahs has programmed over 750 performances and reached audiences of over 400,000 people in the last 3 years.
Joe Driscoll
One man band Joe Driscoll takes audiences on a journey of musical discovery and collective reminiscing- drawing from a plethora of popular influence. Joe effortlessly fuses hip-hop, reggae, soul, funk, folk and roots rock to create a spectacular live show that is as groundbreaking as it is enjoyable.
Asbo Disco
Sets are aimed squarely at taking the crowd on a ride, which means dropping here, there and everywhere. Working with a collectors palette of beats and bass ranging from upfront to classic tried and tested to forgotten gems. The ASBO Disco events are in the same vein, with a range of artists dropping varied sets but everything comes with a dancefloor focus.
DJ Moneyshot
Over the last decade, Bristol's DJ Moneyshot has carved out a solid niche in amped up, crowd rocking mixtape mad skills. An'anything goes' philosophy has seen the wily selector flinging Liza Minnelli into High Contrast, slamming Elvis against Cutty Ranks, and mashing DJ Shadow with The Goodies- in search of a gratifying, compulsively body-moving sound.
Cate Ferris
Cate is a vocalist involved in Dizraeli & The Small Gods. Her beautiful voice and loop pedal skills has seen her grace the Chai Wallahs stages at Glastonbury and Green Man- expect to be amazed by the amazing talent she has to offer.
