Ten Fé a duo from London make "darkly romantic" electronic rock and roll described as "irresistible", "big, bold and ambitious" and “oozing swagger”.

Their last single “In The Air” was number 2 in the Hype Machine chart, it was a vibrant electronic-indie number; with driving groove, insistent sequences and lyrics and mantra-like quality. Ben Moorhouse’s and Leo Duncan’s interwoven vocal, guitar and synth lines created a lush bed of harmony throughout the track. Ben sings about moving on, celebrating being in the light of life, a deeply cathartic message “I’m through the dark, and I’m through the rain...I’m not through with love, but I’m through the pain…. Moving on the feeling in the air”. The video features Ben and Leo performing along with their live band members Rob Shipley and Luca Romano. It was directed and produced by filmmaker duo Silent Tapes, the film’s aesthetic was designed to resound the driving, meditative, bright and heartening forces of the song.

It followed the anthemic ‘Make Me Better,’ which was released over the summer and welcomed for its self-assured ambition and powerful sound.

The two tracks give us a taste of the band’s debut album, recorded during last year’s exile in Berlin with producer Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, M83, The Rapture). The band deliver a sound that’s infused with electronics, an obvious influence from the city, complementing the band’s signature psychedelia, melody and harmony.

Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan grew up 150 miles apart in London and Walsall but have been inseparable since meeting ten years ago. They began playing together and rocking parties around London from steel meat containers to mates’ garages. After releasing ‘Time’ and soon after the ‘50/50’ EP, both produced by Luke Smith (Petite Noir, Foals, Depeche Mode) on London label Bad Life (Petite Noir, Attaque, Whitey, D/R/U/G/S, Mai Kino), their “darkly romantic” blend of electronic rock n roll was declared to be “irresistible” by NME Magazine. The band were supported early on by Lauren Laverne and BBC Radio 6 Music which led them to being asked to perform in session for Rob da Bank at the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios London.

Fresh from the success of their appearances at the Electronic Beats festivals in Europe and sold-out UK headline run over autumn ‘15 and a storming, highly talked-about set at Eurosonic ‘16, the band are ready to get back out on the road again to promote their debut album which is out later this year.

"euphoric trance-dance influenced by the straighter, softer parts of the Orbital catalogue, torpid disco" The Guardian

"Approaching dance music with the gutter heat of rap and a psychedelic imagination, D/R/U/G/S has carved out a new, poetic language of rave" DUMMY MAGAZIN

" an awesome racket" Resident Advisor

"ultra-bright beats, one Hell of an uplifting single" The 405

"future-synth production, a song that will soundtrack your weekend" Indie Shuffle

D/R/U/G/S’ Callum Wright, the DJ and producer who splits his time between Manchester and London is back with new track New Born Love featuring a vocal by the sublime AKIINE.

'New Born Love' is the first release on Code Silence Records, D/R/U/G/S' own imprint. It’s mellow and atmospheric, forward thinking and fresh electronic pop. Akiine gives a moving and powerful vocal – full of depth and killer hooks.

The last D/R/U/G/S track out earlier this year - End of Intelligence - led Indie Shuffle to exclaim: “Holy fuck.. so different“.

D/R/U/G/S uniquely melodic house aesthetic has attracted the support of Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Huw Stephens and Lauren Laverne. As well, popular remixes for Lana Del Rey, Max Cooper and others make him a ubiquitous figure in clubs around the globe. He’s toured the world solidly for the last couple of years and has become a festival favourite in the UK and across Europe.

The all new D/R/U/G/S live show with new permanent fixture, the stunning vocalist Candi Godbold, is on the road at the end of Summer; they play live in Bristol (28 Aug, Start The Bus) and London (3 Sept, 1234 Festival).
