This week in our All the Colours of Giallo series, we’re taking a step out of Italy to explore a Spanish produced-American slasher movie in an amalgamation of early splatter movies and Giallo. It is another pick which was confiscated during the video nasty controversy in the U.K.

Pieces is a bloodthirsty dive into the life of a group of Boston uni students as they are terrorised by a black-clad maniac who collects body parts from his unfortunate co-ed victims to form a jigsaw. As the corpses (and red herrings) begin to pile up, can Professor Brown (genre veteran Jack Taylor) unmask the murderer before his morbid puzzle is complete?
