THE MYSTERY LIES UNDER THE LAKE

In this week’s instalment we strip back all the colours of giallo to show a black and white classic, The Possessed (1965).

After breaking up with his girlfriend, Bernard (Peter Baldwin) is looking to get away. His destination of choice, the lake where he met the captivating Tilde (Virna Lisi) last summer.

Winter has struck, and Tilde is nowhere to be seen. Labelled 'suicide by poison' by the local authorities, Tilde's death is shrouded in suspension.

Bernard must become the detective in his own case, in an investigation which faces him up against the locals.
