Tagna Groove is a dynamic musical ensemble founded and led by Moroccan Maalem (master musician) Mohamed Errebbaa. Based in Bristol, UK, the group is renowned for its innovative fusion of traditional Gnawa music with contemporary genres such as funk, afrobeat, blues, and jazz. This blend results in powerful performances that honor ancient traditions while engaging modern audiences. Errebbaa, born in Rabat, Morocco, began his musical journey at the age of ten, performing with traditional Sufi brotherhoods. He spent over a decade traveling across Morocco, studying diverse regional musical traditions under esteemed Gnawa masters. His dedication led him to master the guembri, a three-stringed bass lute central to Gnawa music. He has performed at renowned festivals such as WOMAD, Shambala, Glastonbury (UK), Bergenfest (Norway), Respect festival (Prague), art explora festival (Malta)etc..
