Blowin' a Hooley, A Christmas Family Ceilidh at The Jam Jar

A gig held at The Jam Jar on Saturday 20th December. The event starts at 14:00.

Fitty Gomash present Blowin’ a Hooley, A Family Christmas Ceilidh.

After another sell out run of shows in 2024, the Christmas Ceilidh returns to the Jam Jar in 2025, once again with a family ceilidh in the afternoon.

The Hooley is Christmas knees-up like no other, a riot of raucous festive fun. Fitty Gomash, now veterans of the SW folk scene, bear a name that means ‘to keep your feet warm through dancing’ in Orkney Gaelic, and they will be sure to ensure you do just that.

The event will be filled with festive singalongs, the most pumping trad tunes, and much dancing lead by our highly experienced caller, absolutely no experience necessary.

The afternoon event will be for families and children, to get you little ones dosi do-ing and swinging their partner around the room.

The evening event will once again begin with rowdy carols around the piano, so come in full voice, dressed in your festive best, and with dancing shoes on your feet!

Babes in arms go free, any children walking or dancing require a ticket x

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
