A gig held at The Jam Jar on Saturday 20th June. The event starts at 19:00.
DJ Dungi presents a live set that fuses Taiwanese Amis Indigenous vocals with experimental electronic sound, transforming voice into rhythm, texture, and atmosphere through layered beats and immersive soundscapes. Joined by Amis dancers, the performance unfolds as a dialogue between sound and movement, drawing connections between Indigenous vocal practices and contemporary club culture to create a resonant, embodied experience.
Supporting the evening are London-based DJs TIRTA and Izzi, whose practices similarly navigate cultural memory and contemporary club sounds. TIRTA blends ambient, house, trance, electro, and Southeast Asian sonic influences, while Izzi draws connections between ancestral percussion and club futurism through carefully curated selections and emerging sounds.
