The Love La Tour
Combining a love for 80s demure and UK/US Neo-soul and R&B, The Love La EP unravels a blend of the aforementioned genres, alongside cinematic strings. This piece of music aims to paint a picture of emotional maturity, through rich dynamic music, written and composed by Yemi Bolatiwa and her band.
Confessional soul songs that speak of the lust and confusion, the fear and strength felt in the various forms of love, not just romantic. The 5 track EP takes the listeners on an open lyrical journey through soulful, hip-hop and broken beats, evolving grooves into a drum and bass crescendo. The words and strings are the hero of the music but the many melodic layers created and played by the band demonstrate versatility and sound that make the original familiar and exciting to the ear.
