A
clubnight
held at The Jam Jar
on Wednesday 15th April. The event starts at 19:00.
Are there enough enbies in Bristol to fill a nightclub? Let’s find out.
NONBINARAVE is a gender fluid, genre fluid celebration of identities beyond the binary, for gender punks to find kinship dancing outside the boxes together.
A night where we tear down the cistem and build our own world. A world where our bodies are our own, and we make the rules of how we want to move. Where we’re free from the social construct, and not confined by the limits of the patriarchy’s imagination.
When we feel like our gender is being policed, that can show up as stuckness in our movements. Dancing is our way of standing up for our right to live in our bodies as we choose. To connect to our self expression in a world that constantly denies us.
Dancing is political: it’s resistance, it’s freedom. Your joy is important. Let’s dance.
NONBINARAVE is created and held by Coren, Bristol’s orangest enby, DJ, and hype man. It’s for people who identify as non-binary, trans+, genderfluid, agender, intersex, two spirit and gender nonconforming. Gender questioners, you’re welcome here too, feel free to leave your assigned gender at the door and see what the alternative feels like.

VALUES AND CONDUCT:
This event is for genderqueer folks. We will not be policing anyone’s gender on the door, but we ask that you respect this and don’t come to this space if it’s not for you. Please note we may open ticket sales up to well-trusted +1s.
No transphobic, ableist, racist, ageist, sexist, classist, homophobic, queerphobic behaviour, or other discrimination or harassment of any kind will be tolerated. Consent is everything. Please be aware of other people’s bodies, and don’t touch anyone without consent. Respect people’s boundaries both on and off the dance floor.
Your body is important. Pace yourself, take breaks if you need to, and stay hydrated. There’s a sit down space adjacent to the dance floor, which is a little quieter. Earplugs will be available on the front desk.
Your host is sober, and invites you to try raving with a clear head.
