Described by BBC Radio 2 as “the most extraordinary musicians, phenomenal” India Electric Co. return with their second headline UK tour of 2022 fresh off the back of a four week support tour for Midge Ure across Europe.

Bringing with them songs from their forthcoming third album they blend traditional instruments, folk melodies and subtle electronic influences to present a unique sound that's “bursting with invention and full of surprises” (The Telegraph) and “classy pop” (The Scotsman). After live sessions with BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, Glastonbury Festival appearances and BBC Introducing’s backing FRUK declared them “one of the truly pioneering acts in folk music”.

“Two of the most extraordinary musicians, a phenomenal duo” - BBC Radio 2

**** “Busy as rush hour but full of light, describing a life alive with motion” - The Independent

“One of the truly pioneering acts in folk music” - FRUK

**** “Classy pop” - The Scotsman

JACK COOKSON
Until fairly recently, Radio 2 Folk Award Nominee Jack Cookson’s approach to songwriting had been dry, visceral and equally as cynical, but after a couple of years of (un)quiet reflection away from music, learning a trade for a little more stability during the pandemic, he is writing with more optimism. After all, nobody wants another bloke with an acoustic guitar singing about his very relative crisis. Cookson’s songs cover the clear and present issues of male mental health stigma, disconnection from the natural world and subsequent obsession with tech. Accompanied with near-virtuosic fingerstyle guitar, a unique voice that is easy-on-the-ears plus the odd bit of harmonica, a set from Jack is one you’ll never forget.

"Easy-going charm & fine songs" - Ralph McTell
