Yama Warashi / Chicken Picnic / Cloudshoes at Jam Jar

A gig held at The Jam Jar on Wednesday 5th December. The event starts at 19:30.

Spinny Night # 13:

We are humbled to be hosting Yama Warashi's album launch for their second LP, 'Boiled Moon' (Small Pond). Amongst some bonkers decor, Yama will be wooing us with their ingenious arrangements, creativity, and joyous sense of playfulness.

The project of Yoshino Shigihara, Yama Warashi is inspired by Japanese folk dance, free jazz and tribal African music, and heavily saturated in psychedelia. Their songs are lyrically outlandish and charming, melodically addictive and mythical; the band name translates from Shigihara’s native tongue as “small childlike mountain spirit”.
