RISING DECADE EXHIBITION CLOSING PARTY at KIT FORM
See event details

A event held at KIT FORM on Saturday 13th June. The event starts at 19:00.

2016 - what a year! Beyonce’s Lemonade dropped, the UK voted to leave the EU, He who shall not be named beat Hilary Clinton’s presidential run, the world lost David Bowie and in the bold city of Bristol, Rising Arts Agency was born.

A lot has changed in ten years, Rising went from being a seed of idea in the minds and hearts of Kamina Walton and the local young people she was working with, to becoming a mighty force within the creative and cultural sector.

From award-winning creative campaigns, advocacy, research to building a talented community who have gone on to do incredible things. In 2021, Kamina handed over the agency to two young women, Jess Bunyan and Euella Jackson, and now, after achieving so much and 10 years since the agency first started, they’re handing Rising over to new co-leaders to lead as part of our radical leadership model.

There’s a lot to celebrate, too much even.

For all the lows that the past 10 years have thrown us, Rising’s community has taken us to higher heights. So we want to bring our friends, community, partners, supporters and the public for another epic exhibition platforming the work of our incredible artists over 4 days at KITFORM to take in the impact we’ve had, and will continue to have.

From Wednesday 10th June, we’ll be programming a series of events and interventions in the exhibition space that truly encapsulate the magic of Rising, finishing with a legendary exhibition closing party on Saturday 13th June and YOU'RE INVITED.

The last one was a movie. Whether you’re new to Rising, true to Rising or looking for something to do, this is the only place you’ll need to be!

When: Saturday 13th June, 7:00pm - Late
