Body Stories at KIT FORM
See event details

A event held at KIT FORM on Thursday 12th March. The event starts at 18:30.

This series of movement-based workshops is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with your body, just as you are! Together, we’ll explore the stories, sensations, and quiet wisdom that already live within us through simple guided movement, creative expression (like intuitive writing and mark making), and playful improvisation. Each session focuses on a different part of the body and offers supportive and guided approach with the space to move (or rest) in your own rhythm. The emphasis is on noticing, sensing, and discovering what feels natural to you and tuning into breath, sensations, images, and movement impulses to follow. The first session will be focused on our SPINES, discovering inner support. Looking forward to spiral, lengthen, search for spaces in between, and more together! We’ll use imagination and creative prompts to spark curiosity, self-expression and creativity. There’s space for playfulness, reflection, and quiet integration, so you can make sense of your experience in your own personal way. Everyone is welcomed, no prior movement, dance, or art experience is needed. The sessions are facilitated by Bibiana, a somatic movement practitioner and performance artist. She draws from a range of embodied practices including Tamalpa Art/Life Process, Authentic movement approach, contact improvisation, physical theatre, and interdisciplinary art forms to explore movement and expression, while holding space for emotional and mental awareness through the moving body. What to bring: Comfortable clothing you can move in, warm layers, a water bottle, a yoga mat (if you have one), and your curious self. *All drawing and writing materials will be provided. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, directly at: [email protected] or via Headfirst. Looking forward to seeing you in space!
