Get The Blessing at Lakota
Tickets £15, Tables, Day Passes

A gig held at Lakota on Friday 3rd September. The event starts at 20:30.

Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival are back in town and present you with four days of incredible Jazz and Blues Acts taking place at Lakota Gardens from Thursday 2nd Sept to Sunday 5th Sept.

It was twenty years ago today (give or take a year or two) that the key ingredients of the award-winning, internationally touring, musical potage that is Get The Blessing were first gathered together in a deep-sided saucepan in Easton, Bristol to begin the slow process of sweating...The musicians were originally drawn together through a shared appreciation of Ornette Coleman and keep the spirit of his ground-breaking free jazz alive, whilst never losing sight of thumping tunes, monstrously infectious beats, or joyous collective spontaneity.
