Corto.alto at Lantern Hall, Bristol

A gig on Wednesday 22nd October. The event starts at 19:30.

Described as a traditional jazz head raised in the age of the internet, Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall, aka corto.alto, has had an incredible string of success.

His debut album Bad With Name was shortlisted for the iconic Mercury Prize in 2024, winning Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards, and nominated in three Jazz FM Awards categories. Last year, the band played 75 shows, including We Out Here, North Sea, Montreux, and Cross The Tracks.

Fresh from their first US shows at SXSW 2025, corto.alto has been championed by Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum, BBC 6 Music, Jazzwise, and more.

Following on from a sold-out UK tour, we’re taking corto.alto to Lantern Hall in Bristol.
