After 11 years as trumpeter for The Zen Hussies, Jack “The Hammer” McPherson decided to leave Bristol and set up home in the vineyards of Bordeaux, France, where he took on the persona of Perry Gordon and created his unique brand of New Orleans jazz with the ‘crème de la crème’ of local musicians. It’s been a few years since the last time he played Bristol and this time he’s accompanied by some of Bristol’s finest trad jazzers.
