held at LEFTBANK
on Saturday 19th October. The event starts at 22:00.
When Salsa chirpy dance moved from Havana to New York it quickly sharpened into a tighter instrumental version know as Salsa Dura. When Cuban trumpet Maestro Michel Padron, moved from Havana to Bristol, he brought with him soaring virtuosity and rhythmic style into the local Latin scene. Saoco Collective is his six piece Salsa Dura Project and it's a corker, featuring Padron on Trumpet, Latin piano virtuoso Jim Blomfield and a host of stalwart Bristol Latino jazzers on Baritone Sax, Bass, Percussion and Drums.
